I quickly checked snopes which I use a lot. It says that Obama/Ayers did know one another, but it also uses statements from Obama & his campaign to defend the charges! I usually have confidence in snopes, but Ithought that was a somewhat inadequate treatment because there are other sources which might refute that. Let us remember that Obama pledged that he would limit his campaign to federal campaign contributions if his opponent did so. McCain agreed, but Obama decided to abandon that pledge & ended up spending twice as much as McCain. It was a record-breaking amount of money. My point is: Just because Obama & his campaign say something does not make it true. There needs to be independent verification. Mom S.
Thanks for the links. I've followed coverage of this (as snopes classifies it, "Partly true" allegation - har har) quite closely and am convinced of the evidence supporting his connections and friendship with this terrorist. It's beating a dead horse to talk about how the drive-by media turned their heads to this, but most likely one of the more relevant point to make, considering many many voters are lemmings.
I mean, c'mon America! BO associates with this guy! Can you imagine how far out of the election they would have chased any other candidate with ties like this?!! (And as an aside, anybody else hear how BO entered the voting booth just minutes after BA and the Rev. JR?!!! Probably just got through having thier morning coffee together....)
